 Good Evening!

Students had PE first thing this morning! They got to play in a circuit where they could choose which activity they could do.

In Music, we are continuing to learn about rhythm and we played rhythm four corners! Was a great game! Students loved to guess the rhythm and move around the classroom! We then played a game where we clapped along to Mario in order for him to beat his villian.

In Math, we continued to work on understanding that there are the same areas but different perimeters and same perimeters with different areas. Students are working well and understanding the concept of area and perimeter.

With our writing project, we continued to explore stories that we are going to use as inspiration. Today, we read the Rainbow Crow, a Metis story that dicusses how the crow lost its colour, its voice, and its beauty. We are continuing to read and look at books where the animals have a flaw and then gain a trait.

We read Chapter 12 of Pax! Ask your child to summarize what's been happening so far!

In CAFE, we discussed what the C stands for. With CAFE, comprehension is important. We discussed what strategies we could use while reading to make sure we understand what we are reading.

Our Team Building activity today, was we played Fruit Salad and Zip Zap Zop. Ask your child how we play and how much fun it was!

We continued in Social to learn about where we live and who we are! Today, we discussed identity. The students helped to pick out features of my identity and we wrote them as a class. I then got the students to think of their own identity. They then shared with someone else and compared and listened. We will continue to think of identity and how it relates to our geography.

Please continue to bring in your Toonies for Terry.

Have a good evening!

Miss. Hillier
