 Good Afteroon families!

Please read the following from Mrs. Brinson:

DO YOU GET MRS. BRINSON'S WEEKLY NORTHERN LIGHTS NEWS EMAILS?

Every Friday, Mrs. Brinson sends out important information and updates through a Northern Lights News email.  Today, she sent out the eighth one for this school year.  If you don't receive them, it is because you have not subscribed with the email that the school has on file.  These communications are SUPER important so we would like ALL families to receive them. Today we started off with writing. We were using our senses to help revise our class beginning to the story we have started about the stickleback fish. The students ended up coming up with a great change to our story by adding elaborative detail to where our fish lived.

In Math, we continued to work on algebraic equations and solving for them. The students are starting to understand them better!

In Makerspace, the students had some free time to

explore and create something that included a pattern. We had some great creations.

For Social, we read the book Eh? to Zed about different things that represent Canada. We discussed some of the things that we did not know about. Our next step is create our own ideas about Canada and an image to go with it.

We did not read Thirst today. We did an activity where the students had some choice to show what they know and understand about the novel as we have read Chapters 1-7.

In PE, the students played more basketball games of 3 on 3, using all their skills that they learned this week and last.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and get out to do some fun fall activities for the Fall Activities Video.

Miss. Hillier
