 Good afternoon!

In PE, the students played another take on a dodgeball game! Looked like fun!

In Music, we did Boomwhackers and played the instrument to some fun songs! The students and I had a blast.

For Thirst we worked on our projects and the students answered some reflection questions and related themselves to our main character Minni.

In Math, we develed deeper into the understanding of decimals. We learned that decimals are pieces of a whole and used manipulatives to help explain the concept. We took the ones, tens and hundreds to help understand that if we take pieces of them out of the whole that they are parts which then in turn relate to a decimal. The decimals are on the right hand side of the whole numbers and have a related place value to those of our whole number place values. We will continue to explore decimals.

In Writing, students are working on finishing their middles of their stories.

In our Health/Wellness class, the students were working on skits to help solidify the ideas of how to resolve conflict when it approaches them.

In Social, we started a new project on our Canadian provinces and territories. Students are going to be doing some research about a province or territory they are interested in. They will research geogrpahical features, physical features, animals/plants, and interesting facts. They will use print and online resources to help them to find facts which will then be presented on a poster to the class. The students are looking forward to learning about their country.

Have a safe evening!
