 Good Evening!

Photo proofs went home the other day. Please make sure that if you would like to purchase photos please make sure that you either order online or send money in with your child. If you did not like the proofs, photo retakes are next Wednesday!

A reminder that parent-teacher conferences are next Thursday eve and Friday until 2pm. Please make sure you book your appointment online.

In PE, the students played a game that Mr. Newton came up. It had no name so they were in charge of coming up with a name as they played. The game involved two teams and they were to throw items into the other teams goal. To protect the goal there were goalies who had pool noodles that they were to use to protect the goal.

We finished up writing the middle parts of our stories and we will be moving on to the main event. The main event will be the part where the most important features will be revealed.

In Math, we kept working on decimals and understanding that they are pieces of a whole. They were also working on adding more numbers to the decimals to discuss the pattern in the place value chart.

We read up to Chapter 32 in Thirst. The novel is getting very interesting!

This afternoon, the students had free play in Makerspace. The are super creative.

We finished wrapping up our Science unit by finishing up the food webs and chains topic.

This afternoon, we worked on comparing Canadian symbols and topics to those symbols and topics that we have been reading and learning about in the book. We did a Venn Diagram to compare the two countries and the similarities between the two countries. We are also working on creating arms that show symbols of our classroom cultures and identity.

Have a great eve!

Miss. Hillier
